Dale Wilhelm
Dale has extensive high school, club, and collegiate experience. He built a program in Reed City that grew into perennial top ten Class B program. He transformed a Forest Hills program mired in mediocraty into one of the top programs in the state by working extensively with the district’s youth . He has coached club and worked site camps with BRAVO, RC Smash, USA Michigan, Inside Out, and Sports Performance . Off the court, he served as an elected member of the MIVCA board and as an appointed member of the MHSAA volleyball committee. He has enjoyed the opportunity to work with many all-State and all-American athletes. He thoroughly enjoys the process of helping young athletes learn the fundamentals of the sport and believes that these fundamentals are the key to successfully competing at the highest level.
erin hartley Buchanan
Erin Hartley attended Midland High School from 1995-1998 where she earned All-State honors in basketball, volleyball, and track.
Hartley pursued a collegiate volleyball career at Michigan State University where she started all four years as an outside hitter for the Spartans. She led her team to four NCAA appearances, and earned AVCA Second Team Volleyball All-American, AVCA All-Midwest Region, and unanimous First Team All-Big Ten honors; she was also named Big Ten Player of the Week three times. During her final season with the Spartans, she ranked in the top ten at MSU in block assists (1st – 494), blocks (1st – 581), kills (5th – 1,508), digs (9th – 1,099), and aces (10th – 122) and was the seventh player in MSU history to earn over 1,000 digs and kills in her career. In addition to her success on the court, Hartley demonstrated outstanding performance in the classroom. She was selected to the Verizon Academic All-District IV Third Team, and for three consecutive years, she earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. In 2001, she was recognized as the MSU volleyball team’s most valuable player and received awards for having the highest hitting percentage (.327) and highest grade point average (3.62).
During her career, Hartley represented her country as a member of both the United States Junior National (1999) and National (2002) Volleyball Teams. In 1999, she competed against Russia, Brazil, and South Korea at the Volleyball Junior World Championships in Saskatoon, Canada, and in 2002, she competed with the US National Team in a series of exhibition matches against China. After her tenure with the US National Volleyball Team, Hartley played Division 1 professional volleyball in Vicenza, Italy before returning to Michigan State to earn a master’s degree in Education.
Jasmine Wellet
Jasmine is currently a student at Grand Valley State University. She played collegiately as an outside hitter and defensive specialist at Grand Rapids Community College. She played high school volleyball for Coldwater, where she was recognized as an all-conference, all-district, and all-regional player. She has coached club for several years, and has also provided individual skill training, worked site camps, and coached at the high school level. She relates extremely well with young women who are focused on working hard to realize their potential.
